| This is from the passage where Jesus is speaking to Peter about the way in which he would die. Peter turns and sees John following and says, "What about that guy?" Jesus says, "Mind your own business."
Jesus said to him, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow me." (Emphasis mine)
This is convicting to me. Instead of comparing my circumstances, blessings, etc. with those that the Lord has given to others, I must just follow Him.

| Q: What can you use math for?
A: Parking your SUV in a motorcycle space. If you roll up the windows, the SUV is a closed and bounded subset of Euclidean space. Hence, it is compact.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for my prelim - unofficial word is that I passed. Praise the Lord!

| Recently, the Lord has shown me a few things He wants to change in me. One of the odd things about the Christian walk is that, though we can agree with the Lord about the things He wants to change, the actual work of setting us free is His. It's kind of a "hurry up and wait" situation. I can say, "Yes, Lord, change me," but then I need to wait for Him to complete His work. Sometimes He gives me something to do to aid the process, but often I just need to sit back. That can be very frustrating, especially since His work often takes time. And in the in between time, I usually still see failures in that area. Then the devil likes to accuse and condemn and discourage me based on my failures.
Today I read Colossians 1 in my quiet time, and verses 21-23 were helpful in regards to the above. "And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight - if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel..."
So I must agree with Him and die to my wicked works, and then I must continue in the faith, not moving away from the hope of the gospel - which is that He is presenting me holy, blameless, and above reproach.
So don't be discouraged!
"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" Phil. 1:6
